SWIMMING POOL RESURFACING – U.S. AMBASSADOR’S RESIDENCE, SINGAPORE

1. Purpose

The U.S. Government is conducting market research to identify licensed contractors in Singapore capable of performing the complete resurfacing of an in-ground reinforced concrete swimming pool at the U.S. Ambassador’s Residence.

The Government is specifically seeking companies able to:

• Supply suitable plaster finish materials (Marbelite or equivalent) through the local market.

• Provide all labor, tools, and supervision necessary to carry out the resurfacing.

This notice is for information and planning only. It does not commit the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract.

2. Background

The swimming pool was constructed in the late 1990s and requires a new interior finish. The desired outcome is a durable, smooth plaster surface suitable for long-term submerged use. Equivalent plaster finishes (e.g., quartz, pebble, polymer-modified systems) will be considered if Marbelite is not available locally.

3. Anticipated Scope (for market research)

The anticipated requirements include:

• Assessment of current pool shell and finish condition.

• Surface preparation: removal of existing plaster, surface cleaning, bond coat.

• Application of plaster finish: Marbelite or equivalent plaster system.

• Curing and startup in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations.

• Warranty: minimum one-year workmanship; longer warranties encouraged.

Interested firms are invited to submit a brief capability statement that includes:

Company Information

• Singapore business registration number (if available).
• BCA Workhead(s) or equivalent licensing details (if available).

Capabilities

• Ability to provide plaster resurfacing of in-ground pools.
• Availability of Marbelite or equivalent plaster finishes in Singapore.
• Typical project duration for a residential pool.

Experience

• Relevant projects within the last 5 years involving pool resurfacing or new pool plaster application.
