U.S. GOVERNMENT ISSUES REQUEST FOR INFORMATION FOR LABORATORY SPACE IN SUBURBAN, MARYLAND

Objective:

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to obtain information from building owners and other parties that can successfully provide leased laboratory space described herein.  The information provided in this RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government.

The Government intends to utilize the information from this RFI to verify market capability and determine the feasibility of the requirement.

Description:

Space Type: Laboratory

Location: Suburban Maryland (Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties)

Anticipated Lease Term: Fifteen (15) years firm plus one (1) five (5) year renewal option

Response Requirements:

Responses should include the following information:

1. Type of laboratory space the building can currently accommodate;
2. Current zoning of the building;
3. Mechanical systems servicing the laboratory space;
4. Live load capability of the building and roof;
5. Level of power servicing the building;
6. Capability to include fully redundant power;
7. Asking rate and service type (FS, NNN, NOE, etc.);
8. Typical annual rental rate escalations, if any;
9. Available space and date of availability;
10. Clear ceiling height of available space;
11. Name, address, telephone number, and email address of contact;

This RFI is issued to obtain market information for planning purposes which may or may not result in a procurement. This RFI does not constitute a solicitation and responses to this notice are not offers. The Government cannot award a contract on the basis of information received in response to this RFI and will not pay or reimburse parties for the information submitted. Responding to this RFI is not required to be considered under any future potential procurement.
