USCG AIR STATION KODIAK MEZZANINE STRUCTURES

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.

Solicitation number 20270PR260001626 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) for USCG Air Station Kodiak Mezzanine Structures.

This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS Code is 333923. The small business size standard is 1,250 employees.

USCG Air Station Kodiak, Kodiak, AK, has a requirement for the purchase of two (2) mezzanine structures.  The manufacturer shall supply two (2) identical, separate structural steel mezzanine packages, each featuring an overall footprint of 34’-0” x 28’-0” (approximately 952 sq. ft. per mezzanine), designed for a uniform live load of 150 PSF with a deflection limit of L/360, a 10’-6” clear height, and a 12’-0” deck height. Each mezzanine package must include one (1) straight, IBC-compliant staircase complete with a top landing and safety handrails.

All structural calculations, fabrication drawings, and connection details must be stamped and sealed by a registered Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in the State of Alaska to satisfy Seismic Design Category E requirements for Kodiak, Alaska (ZIP 99615). The flooring system for both units shall consist of heavy-duty, open metal bar grating securely fastened to the structural framing. To account for uneven foundation conditions, the support columns must be designed with the ability to be structurally shimmed at the base. Additionally, all exposed sides of both platforms must feature safety guardrails that comply with OSHA standards (42-inch height, mid-rail, and toe-boards) and are fully removable or sleeve-mounted to facilitate flexible material loading.

 Items must be delivered within 90 days after award unless otherwise negotiated.

Offeror shall provide a firm-fixed price for Qty 2 mezzanines, as outlined above, inclusive of shipping. Evaluation criteria is lowest price technically acceptable.

Quotes are due by July 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., Alaska time, to Robbin Kessler at robbin.m.kessler@uscg.mil  to be considered for award. If it is in the best interest of the government, quotes submitted after the due date may be accepted. Quotes shall remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise expressly stated on the quote. Quotes shall list two points of contact for the offeror, including name, phone number, and email address.
