SECTION 1 – GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 Scope of Work
1.1.1 Background: During anchoring evolution crew discovered both port and starboard anchor ground tackle handwheel & brake band assemblies to be badly corroded and rusted. The port handwheel assembly is no longer operational and crew is limited to use of the starboard side only. The starboard side is also close to failure, but crew has been able to keep it greased and operational.
1.1.1.1 Intent is to procure and ship two new handwheel brake stand and brake band assemblies to cutter’s homeport. Coast Guard currently has the drive shaft assemblies in stock, so the request does not include these. Coast Guard is requesting two drive shaft assemblies as per Section 2 of this document.
The contractor must provide all materials/supplies defined in this Scope of Work.

1.3.1 FOB: Destination. Combined delivery, ship all items together. Deliver items to the delivery address in 1.1.2 of this document within 365 days of contract award.
1.4 Award
It is the governments’ intent to make award on the basis of Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) offered through issuance of a firm fixed price contract.
1.4.1. Under FAR 4.1103 prospective contractor shall be registered in System Award Management (SAM) prior to award. Failure for contractor to be registered in (SAM) shall result in Contracting Officer to proceed with next successful registered offeror. Website: www.sam.gov
