USP CANAAN SPECIAL NOTICE - NON-COMPETITIVE (SOLE SOURCE) - JWC MONSTER GRINDER

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. The Federal Bureau of Prisons – USP Canaan intends to enter into a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract with JWC Environmental for a new wastewater grinder for the current wastewater sewage grinder system. The current grinder has severe damage to the existing grinder system and is well beyond the means of repair. The grinder is currently not operational due to the extent of the damage. The system is part of the JWC Environmental “Monster” system which uses proprietary technology. The part is needed to work in conjunction with JWC Environmental sewer rotor/auger which is still in operation.

This acquisition is conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901(e) and in accordance with FAR 12.102(a) For acquisitions valued at or below the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT). No solicitation is available and no technical questions will be answered regarding this requirement. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 221320.
