    Please note that this is not a request for proposal nor a request for quote as there is no solicitation document available. Therefore, this is a notice of intent issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs to negotiate a limited source contract Therefore, this is a notice of intent issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs to negotiate a limited source contract with Olympus America IAW FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) Sole Source Awards to a FSS Contract vendor. The VA intends to negotiate a limited source contract with Olympus America. The contract will be for Endoscope Leases for the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center located in Iron Mountain, MI. This is due to Olympus America stating they do not have any Authorized Distributors for the Leasing of Equipment. Additionally, the site has standardized to this brand and the lease is only for the Scopes and maintenance of scopes under the lease. The Government will not be responsible for paying for any of the costs incurred and associated with the development of any responses submitted to this notice. Information received in response to this special notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to not compete the proposed acquisition is wholly within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 334510 (Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing).
