Z--REHABILITATION OF THE MAINTENANCE COMPLEX ROOFS, CHICKAMAUGA AND CHATTANOOGA NA

The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior (DOI), Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park have a requirement for the following project; To perform Rehabilitation of the Maintenance Complex Roofs at Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. The work will address the abatement of all existing asbestos-cement roofing, removal and replacement of rotted roof sheathing, and replacement of slate shingles where required. Installing new sub roofing and roofing in areas required. Removal and replacement of rotted sheathing will require complete removal of all roofing materials. Sounding and salvaging existing slate shingles for reuse and repairing the gutter system.

This procurement is being set aside for Small Business. If your company is interested, submit your detailed capabilities in writing to demonstrate the same or similar experience to this project. This is not a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation to bid. No proposal package, solicitation, specification, or drawings are available with this announcement. Response to this announcement is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this pre-solicitation announcement, or any follow-up information requests. The Government anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for this requirement. The amount of interest or lack thereof will determine the possibility of a competitive set-aside or full and open competition. All firms should be registered and certified in the Systems for Awards Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov, in order to participate in this requirement. Payments will be made via Electronic Funds Transfer using the data within the SAM registration database.

Project Description (Scope); The primary objective of the project consists of replacing roofing materials on all units listed in the specification documents. This includes all
work necessary to complete the demolition and disposal of hazardous or non-hazardous
roofing materials and associated items such as downspouts, gutters, deteriorated roof
planking. This item also includes all work necessary for installation of new and
salvaged roofing materials once demolition has been completed.

This requirement involves performing work as defined in the specification and drawings when the solicitation is issued. Detailed requirements and/or specifications will be listed within the solicitation and other attachments as required. A Firm Fixed Price award is contemplated from this solicitation with an award to the offeror(s) providing the best value, based on the evaluation criteria outlined in the solicitation once issued.

The solicitation, Request for Proposal (RFP) and its attachments will be issued electronically. Anticipated publish date: On or about 16 June 2026. The solicitation documents will be posted to SAM.gov | Contract Opportunities. The contracting office will not provide hard copies or email copies of the solicitation.
