    Description

    The Ware County Board of Commissioners will received separate, sealed bids until 2:15pm (local time), Tuesday, April 14, 2026 for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of 2026 Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG) Patching, Leveling and Resurfacing Improvements Tara Road, East Waring Street, and Eight Mile Post Road/Gibbs Street located within Ware County, Georgia. Bids will be opened and read. The meeting will be held at Ware County Board of Commissioners¿ Office and will be opened to the public. Proposals can be mailed or delivered to the attention of Mr. James Shubert, County Administrator for the Ware County Board of Commissioners, 305 Oak Street, Suite 227, Waycross, Georgia 31501. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. The Ware County Board of Commissioners may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids. The Scope of Work Includes: Patching, Leveling and Resurfacing Improvements for a total of 2.386 Miles All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the Owner in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the Owner. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract.
