    Description

The Office of State Fire Marshal is looking to procure a mobile breathing air compressor trailer that will supply fresh, compressed air to firefighters during training operations at the NC Emergency Training Center. This will ensure respiratory safety when working in hazardous environments encountered at the NC ETC. With the mobile unit, firefighters can refill air and scuba tanks on sight reducing downtime in training and emergency situations. The mobile air supply trailer will also provide versatility in operations and will be available for SERT deployments, and provide firefighting and rescue teams with immediate access to a fresh supply of breathing air when working in toxic, O2-deficient, and smoke-filled environments. The mobile breathing air compressor will also allow our agency to maintain compliance with OSHA and NFPA standards, providing an extra layer of accountability and safety for the NC ETC and during SERT deployments.
