Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. The OWNER of the project is Spalding County. The ENGINEER for the project is LJA Engineering, Inc. The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows: Construction of approximately 2,582 linear feet of 5¿ wide sidewalk, installation of related storm structures and piping, driveway and street crosswalk striping, LED crosswalks, concrete retaining walls, a Contech 55¿ x 5¿ steel pedestrian bridge, and required grading. Please note there are two (2) bid tabulations, Option 1 and Option 2. Option 2 includes the same work as described above with different quantities. This is due to ongoing easement acquisition on properties as shown on the plans. The potential contractor shall plan accordingly as to not impact these properties until notified by the Owner or the Engineer of Record. Both bid tabulations must be filled out and included in order for the bid submittal to be considered as complete. Bidding Documents/Project Manual must be obtained by prospective Bidders at the Issuing Office: LJA Engineering, Inc., 350 Airport Road, Griffin, Georgia 30224, 770-412-7700. In order to obtain a complete hard copy set of the Bidding Documents/Project Manual and be on record as an Official Bidder prospective Bidder shall provide a copy of current Utility Contractor License as issued by the State of Georgia together with non-refundable payment of $300.00. Digital versions of the Bidding Documents/Project Manual may be obtained for a non-refundable payment of $75.00. Bidder shall also provide a letter from the Surety Company verifying the Bidder has the bonding capacity as outlined for the project and that the Surety Company will bond projects for Contractor as outlined in the specifications.
