    1. PROJECT OVERVIEW

    This requisition is for the installation of a complete HVAC system within the drywell structure at the 27th & Chase facility. The work includes mechanical, electrical, structural, and controls integration in a high-risk, gas-prone wastewater environment.

    All work shall comply with OSHA, IDEM, NEC, and applicable local/state codes, including hazardous location requirements.

    2. SCOPE OF WORK
    A. HVAC EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION

    Install (1) 5-ton air handler unit with electric heat kit (equipment provided by Gary Sanitary District)

    Install (1) 5-ton condenser unit (provided by Gary Sanitary District)

    Full system integration and operational setup

    B. ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

    Install dedicated 50-amp circuit for air handler heat kit

    Install 30-amp electrical service for condenser unit (120/24/240 VAC)

    Provide and install:

    Electrical disconnects

    Breakers

    Safety shutoffs

    Control transformers and wiring

    All electrical components shall be:

    Explosion-proof / hazardous-location rated (NEMA compliant)

    Suitable for environments containing:

    Hydrogen Sulfide (H₂S)

    Oxygen-enriched atmospheres

    Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) gases

    Carbon Monoxide (CO)

    C. MECHANICAL & REFRIGERATION WORK

    Install refrigerant line set, including:

    Proper sizing

    Insulation

    Protection and routing

    Install condensate drain system, including:

    Proper slope

    Corrosion-resistant piping

    Safe discharge routing

    D. CONTROLS & THERMOSTAT

    Install Wi-Fi-enabled thermostat (provided by Gary Sanitary District)

    Routed to exterior
