Construction Cost Estimate: $142,000.00 The bid documents will be available 3:00 PM on June 8, 2026 on the BidNet Direct website . A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held at 1:00 PM on June 17, 2026. Please meet at 5126 W Daybreak Parkway, South Jordan, UT 84009. All contractors wishing to bid on this project must attend this meeting. Bids are to be submitted electronically until 2:00 PM on July 14, 2026 through the BidNet Direct website. It is the sole responsibility of the contractor to ensure their bid reaches the BidNet Direct website before the closing date and time. There is no cost to the contractor to submit electronic bids the BidNet Direct website. Bids may require the uploading of attachments. University Project Manager: Joe Cronin | 801-585-2553 | joe.cronin@hsc.utah.edu Project Description/Base Bid: Selective demolition for the installation of structural steel and associated work required to install the awning expansion to match existing waning. This will require some structural steel attachments to the building, mechanical drains, and roofing material installation, for the awning expansion. The work will be in the main emergency depart ambulance and EMS entrance to the emergency room. This will require coordination with the schedule of work with the emergency department and how to keep the area accessible for ambulance and EMS services during the work of the project. Special Constraints: The successful contractor shall possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in an active healthcare environment. The contractor must demonstrate prior experience managing subcontractors on healthcare projects of similar scope and complexity. Additionally, the contractor shall have experience coordinating with the Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM), including scheduling all required inspections and special inspections associated with the project. A comprehensive understanding of healthcare-specific requirements is essential, including Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) protocols and applicable fire and life safety codes.
