    Description

The City of Lincoln, Lancaster County and the Lincoln Lancaster County Public Building Commission is requesting bids from qualified companies for the Annual Service of Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Fire Sprinkler System. --- Q&A --- Q1: Is there a place that we can add pricing per Gauge that need replaced during each 5 year inspection? Without physically seeing each system it is impossible to know how many gauges there are per system. If that information is available we could add it in our inspection cost. A1: Lines for hourly rate and materials (4-6) will be used for services needed to repair or replace parts during inspections. Submitted: 6/24/2026 08:45:45 AM (CT) Q2: For Line 2 of the package the 5-Year Inspection lists sprinkler head sample/testing in parenthesis. Head sample testing is not a part of the 5-year inspection. Could the head sample/testing wording be removed from the 5-year inspection please? Fire sprinkler head sample testing is done in intervals of 10, 20 and 50 years and are not associated with a 5-year. The head sample testing is different for each location based on the style, model, year and quantity of each type of fire sprinkler head located in the facility/building. Sample head testing would need to be quoted on a case-by-case basis during or after an annual inspection has been completed in order to identify the types of fire sprinkler heads that would be due for testing. There are too many variables to be considered to be able to supply a lump sum price for each location. A2: Bid per Specifications and Line Items. (identify and maintain a list of sprinkler heads that have reached their required testing interval or are installed in an environment requiring more frequent testing as part of the 5-year testing). Submitted: 6/23/2026 02:59:55 PM (CT) Q3: Information Services at 233 S. 10th Street was removed in March 2024 as the building was no longer occupied and all utilities were disconnected. Email on 03/20/2024 from the Director of Facilities and Properties confirmed that location was entirely decommissioned. Based on this information, we believe that location should be removed from the list. A3: 233 S. 10th Street will be removed from the location list via Addendum. Submitted: 6/17/2026 10:56:45 AM (CT) Q4: Lincoln Fire Station #8 is not shown on the list of locations; however, there is a fire sprinkler system and fireline backflow currently being tested there. Does this location need to be added to the list? A4: Fire Station #8 will be added to the location list by Addendum. Submitted: 6/17/2026 10:53:12 AM (CT) Q5: In the Line Items tab, it does not list each individual location to provide pricing for. Each location will have its own inspection price. Is there a way to provide a cost per location? This would be for annual inspections, semi-annual inspections, 5-Year inspections, 3-Year inspections, etc. A5: Line Items will be revised by Addendum Submitted: 6/17/2026 08:43:21 AM (CT)
