    Description

The City of Hampton, Ga (“City”) hereby requests qualifications and pricing from companies that are experienced in and capable of implementing a system-wide conversion to an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system (“System”) of the Cities’ residential and commercial electric meters. The City currently provides electric services to approximately 3,000 residential customers. The project will involve replacing these meters with AMI meters. The intent is to replace or reconfigure existing Landis and Gyr Gridstream RF meters currently read by another provider. The City recognizes that a multi-disciplined equipment provider will be required to complete this Turnkey AMI System project based upon the multiple components that must be purchased, configured, commissioned, and programmed.

In Issuing this RFP, the City has provided an overview of its specifications for the Turnkey AMI System to allow interested companies the flexibility of submitting their best solution to the City. This approach will enable the City to take advantage of the most technologically advanced

Turnkey AMI System available, while adhering to procurement requirements mandated by the Georgia Statutes and allowing for fair evaluation of all responses. All bids solicitation needs to be submitted to City Manager Jeff Baker at jbaker@hamptonga.gov
