Persimmon, Rogers, Arkansas. The Work consists of sound testing existing surface, acid washing, applying scratch coat and new plaster, installing new tile, and related work as described in the Contract Documents. TYPE OF BID: One LUMP SUM proposal for the entire project. DEADLINE AND PLACE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS: Thursday, December 1st, 2016 2:00pm CST Community Room 127 Rogers City Administration Building 301 W. Chestnut Rogers, AR 72756 BID FORMS AND SUBMISSION: Forms furnished with the drawings and specifications. Submit in a clearly identified, sealed, opaque envelope. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS: Contract documents may be picked up at 301 West Chestnut Street, Rogers, Arkansas, in the Planning and Transportation office beginning Tuesday, November 15th, 2016. BID SECURITY: Bid security in the amount of five percent of the Proposal must accompany each proposal in accordance with the “Proposal Procedures”. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS: No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to date of the opening of proposal without consent of the Owner. AWARDS AND/OR REJECTION OF BIDS: The Owner reserves the right to award the project in any manner that is deemed in his best interest, or to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities. Proposals which fail to comply fully with any provision of the Project Manual and other Contract Documents may be considered invalid and may not receive consideration. This invitation does not commit the Owner to pay any cost incurred in the preparation of bids. Bidders shall conform to the requirements of the Arkansas licensing laws and regulations for contractors, and shall be licensed before his bid is submitted. There shall be only one bid submitted per State Contractors license. Bidders will be required to indicate license number on bid form beneath signature when bidding $ 20,000.00 or more. Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. § 22-9-203, the State encourages all small and minority business enterprises to submit bids for capital improvements. Encouragement is also made to all general contractors that in the event they subcontract portions of their work, consideration be given to the identified group.
