    Description

    The City of Redlands is seeking a qualified contractor to provide annual testing and as needed repair services for the backflows (approx 226 +/-), located throughout the City of Redlands. The selected contractor must have an office location no greater than 25 miles from the City limits and respond to a service call within 30 minutes of being called for service, repairs and/or certification.The selected contractor shall prepare and file appropriate paperwork including backflow prevention device field testing and maintenance report forms as requested by City Staff and/or County of San Bernardino Department of Public Health. Contractor must possess a valid Certificate of Competence issued by the County of San Bernardino Environmental Health Services and a current C-36 Contractor’s License, C with the State of California. Services will be coordinated with the City as needed (forms are due each month). Testing can generally be completed in 2 to 3 mutually acceptable days (Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM).The contractor shall provide their own vehicle, gauges and tools. The City shall provide the contractor access to backflow prevention devices in secure locations.Contractor shall remove all trash and waste materials generated by backflow prevention device repairs and inspections. During performance and upon completion of work, contractor will remove all unused equipment and instruments of service leaving the area clean and neat.Successful bidder shall fully warranty all materials, equipment, including and without limitation any optional equipment purchased by the City under the terms of this RFQ, against poor and inferior quality equipment and materials for a period of not less than one (1) year from the date of the final acceptance by the CityThe contract term period will be for a one (1) year period. The City of Redlands reserves the right to select or reject employees and sub-contractors providing services.
