    Description

    Sarasota County intends to renew a sole source procurement with to Badger Meter Inc. for the provision of radio read water meters, reading and programming equipment.

    In the event respondents demonstrate the ability to supply the same or substantially similar products and/or services, the County may, in its sole discretion, elect to cancel this sole source and advertise a competitive solicitation.

    The County is not interested in responses from respondents not authorized by Badger Metter Inc. to sell these products/services to the County.

    Background

    Per correspondence from Badger Meter Inc., dated March 4, 2026, Badger Meter Inc. is the sole source of E-Series Ultrasonic Meters, Recordall Disc Meters, Recordall Compound Series/Combo Meters, Recordall Turbo Series Meters, HR-E Encoders, HR-E LCD Encoders, BEACON SaaS, BEACON Mobile Reading Solutions, ORION Endpoints, Syrinix PIPEMINDER Solutions, Syrinix RADAR Software, Badger Meter Analytical Product Lines and Mag Meters for the Sarasota County Public Utilities.
