Borough of Brentwood, Allegheny County - 2026 Sidewalk Restoration Program Project

PROJECT INFORMATION A. Qualified construction firms may submit bids for this project in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. B. Project Identification: 2026 Sidewalk Restoration Program. 1. Project Location: Public rights-of-way within the Borough of Brentwood, Pittsburgh, PA 15227. Work will primarily take place on, but will not be limited to, Owendale Avenue. C. Owner: Borough of Brentwood D. Project Engineer: George Zboyovsky, PE, Borough Manager E. Project Construction Manager: Eric Peccon, Assistant Manager F. Project Description: Primary components include 1) Replacement or installation of no less than 1800 S.F. of 4” thick concrete sidewalks; 2) Replacement of no less than 150 S.F. of 6” thick concrete driveway aprons; and 3) Replacement of no less than 800 L.F. of deep-set concrete curbs. Traffic control and yard restoration expenses shall be incorporated into the unit costs of construction and shall not be separately invoiced. BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENING Owner will receive electronic sealed unit costs bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. BID SECURITY Bid security shall be submitted within each bid in the amount of 10% of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of opening. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, for any reason, and to waive informalities and irregularities. BID DOCUMENTS Project procurement documents and forms of agreement can be obtained electronically from April 16, 2026 to May 12, 2026 at pennbid.bonfire.com. No paper copies will be made available. REQUIREMENTS A.Bidders shall be required to maintain a Performance Bond, a Labor & Materials Payment Bond, Public Liability Insurance, Property Damage Insurance, and Worker's Compensation Insurance. Copies of the certificates for the above referenced policies shall be filed by the selected bidder at the time that the Agreement is executed. B.Bidders shall comply with prevailing wage regulations as set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry TIME OF COMPLETION The successful bidder shall commence with project work activities upon receipt of the Notice To Proceed and shall complete all project tasks prior to the expiration of the Agreement with the Owner.
