    Description

    Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by the City Engineer of the City of Marina, located at 209 CYPRESS AVENUE, MARINA, CALIFORNIA, until 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, for furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, and other items necessary to execute the California Avenue Pedestrian Crossing Installation project. The California Avenue Pedestrian Crossing Installation project is located at the intersection of California Avenue and Marina Heights Drive in Marina, California. This project includes installation of two new ADA compliant curb ramps and a pedestrian crosswalk with a Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon (PBH) and associated electrical system at the southside of the intersection. In addition, work will require conform curb, gutter, and sidewalk, asphalt concrete pavement, fog sealing, pavement markings and striping and associated miscellaneous work for a complete and operational pedestrian crossing in accordance with bidding documents. Time for Completion - All work under this contract shall be completed before the expiration one hundred twenty (120) working days from the date of the first Notice To Proceed. The first Notice to Proceed will be issued for material procurement and another Notice to Proceed will be issued for construction once the materials are on site. Contractor shall submit to the City copy of material billing and expected delivery of material. No field construction is allowed until materials are delivered on the site or unless approved by the City. At the time of the bid opening, the successful Bidder must be legally entitled to perform contracts requiring a Class A General Contractor's license. Any Bidder or contractor not so licensed shall be subject to all penalties imposed by law including, but not limited to, any appropriate disciplinary action by the Contractors' State License Board. Due to COVID-19 Public Health Order social distancing requirements, Bidding Documents are on file and public may download from the City website, https://www.cityofmarina.org/bids.aspx. Potential bidders, subcontractors and suppliers are responsible for reviewing the complete bidding documents, including all addenda, prior to submitting their bid.
