NOTICE TO BIDDERS Nassau Community College (“College” or “NCC) is requesting bids from qualified Contractors for a Roof Replacement Project at the Tower Building. The project entails the complete removal and replacement of the roof of the Tower building. Work shall include all Architectural; Principal features of the project include bulk ACM abatement; demolition of all existing roofing materials; and replacements with new components, as well as the removal and reinstallation of existing roof mechanical equipment as included within Contract documents. In addition, the Contractor will be required to coordinate with any and all Antenna, and shall include all OT for any work that the College requires for work not done during normal working hours. Instructions to Bidders, Form of Bid Bond, Proposal, Form of Agreement, Specifications and the Plans, herein called the “Contract Documents”, may be viewed and downloaded at: www.ncc.edu/aboutncc/ourpeople/administration/procurement/aspx/Default.aspx on Friday, November 14, 2025. BID SUBMISSION: Sealed Bids shall be received in the Office of Procurement at Nassau Community College, 20 Hospital Road, Garden City, New York, H Building, 1st Floor by 2:00pm, on Wednesday, December 16, 2025, at which time the Bids, where accompanied with and presented separate from the required Bid Security, will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Procurement Office conference room located on the 1st floor of the H Building (Room No. 125). Bids must be signed in ink and received at the above address on or before the bid opening date and time. Bid envelope must reference the Name and Address of Bidder, Bid Number, Title, and Bid Opening Date and Time. Bids received after the bid submission due date and time shall be rejected without exception. The College reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Security for Bid and List of Subcontractors as set forth herein must be presented with the Bid. FAILURE TO PROVIDE THE REQUIRED SECURITY AND LIST OF SUBCONTRACTORS WILL RENDER THE BID NON-RESPONSIVE. All bidders will be held to have accepted all terms and conditions of the bid and Contract Documents, to have examined the site and conditions that may affect the work and to have fully informed themselves of all requirements they will be held responsible to perform. No claim for relief of mistakes in the bid will be entertained after bid response. This Contract will be subject to Nassau County Local Law No. 9-2002, which requires that firms entering into contracts must participate in registered and approved apprenticeship training programs. At the time of bid submission, the Contractor and its proposed Subcontractors shall submit as part of its bid an affidavit of participation in approved apprenticeship training programs that are appropriate for the type and scope of work to be performed under the Agreement. The apprenticeship training programs shall be registered with, and approved by, the New York State Commissioner of Labor in accordance with Article 23 of the New York State Labor Law. Note that if the Contractor does not comply with these requirements, the College may declare the Contractor's bid proposal non-responsive and award the Contract to the next lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. PREBID MEETING: The pre-bid meeting/walk-through for prospective bidders will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Bidders shall meet in the CCB Building, Room 251. The walk-through shall then proceed to view various locations of planned work and staging areas. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend this pre-bid meeting.
