    NOTICE OF ADVERTISEMENTPublic notice is given that sealed bids/proposals will be received online via the PennBid (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) by the Chester Upland School District by April 1, 2026, until 4:00 PM prevailing time for the following project.Chester Upland School DistrictCUSD – 1350 and 1450 Edgmont Avenue Roof Upgrades The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, roof upgrades at 1350 and 1450 Edgmont Avenue, along with façade improvements at 1350 Edgmont Avenue, including sealing of windows and repairs and upgrades to the EIFS system to prevent water intrusion. There is a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting on Tuesday, March 17th, 2026. Interested Proposers will meet at the District Administrative Offices, 1350 Edgmont Avenue, Chester, PA 19013, at 3:30 PM. All questions concerning this proposal should be submitted through the Pennbid Program. All questions and answers will be posted on the Pennbid. Bidders are required to submit a surety in the form of a bond or equivalent meeting 10% of the overall bid price in compliance with the contract documents. Bid bonds will be returned to the non-awarded bidders upon the execution of the contract. The successful Bidder shall also be required to provide a Performance Bond in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of written notice of acceptance of the Bid.There is no physical public bid opening for this project, bids will be revealed via the PennBid website.The Successful Bidder Who Is Awarded The Contract, Will Be Required To Pay “PennBid” A Fee Of 0.0033% (⅓ of 1 percent) up to $6,000 Of The Contract Award Value.All interested parties must submit questions via PennBid website (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/login) by the posted deadline. Bidders are not permitted to contact the District Engineer or staff directly.The Contract Documents contain all pertinent regulations. Award of the contract will be to the lowest responsible bidder.
