Outdoor play areas will feature age-appropriate safety surfacing and fencing. Supporting site work includes utility connections, site lighting, paving, parking, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, storm drainage, Low Impact Development (LID) features, landscaping, and signage. The project also includes installation of information technology systems, video surveillance, alarm and intercom systems, and a self-contained heating and air conditioning system. Construction will comply with Department of Defense (DoD) Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings and will provide accessibility for individuals with disabilities. Cybersecurity requirements and sustainability/energy efficiency measures will also be incorporated into the project.
