    ADVERTISEMENT FOR PROPOSAL Proposals for the Geothermal HVAC Replacement Project for the City of Auburn will be received by email to Department of Engineering Services, Memorial City Hall, 24 South Street, Auburn, New York 13021, until 4:00 PM local time, on Friday, July 30, 2026. The full request for proposals may be obtained through the City of Auburn's website at https://www.auburnny.gov/bids.aspx . The City of Auburn reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all proposal packets. The City of Auburn is exempt from the payment of sales and compensating use taxes of the State of New York and of cities and counties on all materials, equipment and supplies sold to the City of Auburn pursuant to this Contract. Final submission and any questions associated with this Request for Proposal shall be directed to Seth Jensen, Director of Municipal Utilities & City Engineer at sjensen@auburnny.gov and cc. Geno Franczek, Junior Engineer at gfranzek@auburnny.gov or 315-253-6511. Three (3) City of Auburn’s municipal buildings are equipped with existing geothermal heating and cooling systems that have been in operation for nearly 20 years. Many of the installed heat pump units have reached or exceeded their expected service life and are exhibiting reduced efficiency, increased maintenance needs, and operational concerns. The City of Auburn seeks to modernize these systems through a comprehensive assessment and strategic replacement of outdated equipment while maximizing the value of the existing geothermal infrastructure. This is a Request for Proposals (RFP issued by the City of Auburn, NY (hereinafter referred to as “the City”) seeking proposals from qualified architectural/ engineering firms to provide services to the City Engineering Department for the Geothermal HVAC Replacement Project. The timeline for engineering services selection and proposal delivery is as follows: · RFP Issued on July 2, 2026 · Deadline for written questions is July 17, 2026 · Deadline for building walkthroughs with City staff is July 17, 2026 by noon · RFP Due Date is July 30, 2026 by 4:00pm · Selection and Notification by Access to Memorial City Hall, Auburn Police Department and Ambulance Headquarters for site inspections shall be coordinated through the City Engineering Department contacts Geno Franczek, Junior Engineer at gfranczak@auburnny.gov and/or Jason Brown, Junior Engineer at jasonbrown@auburnny.gov.
