The City of Geneva issues this Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking qualified firms to study the impact of inflow and infiltration (I&I) on the City’s wastewater collection system and deliver a Preliminary Engineering Report with recommended improvements. The City seeks to conduct a focused engineering study and report to address chronic and climate-exacerbated I&I issues in the City’s sanitary sewage system. The engineering report will evaluate sources of inflow and infiltration (I&I) in our sanitary sewage system adjacent to and in alignment with Castle Creek and Glenwood Creek. The engineering report will provide an alternatives analysis and recommend improvements to the City of Geneva’s wastewater collection system. This effort is urgently needed due to increasing storm frequency and intensity, aging underground infrastructure, and water quality threats affecting the City as well as a regional drinking water source for more than 100,000 people. Minority Women Business Enterprises (M/WBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) and/or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) respondents are strongly encouraged to participate.
