City of Murphy - Water Service Line Replacements

Scope: Furnishing all labor, material and equipment, and performing all work required for construction of approximately five thousand seventy-seven (5,077) 1-inch single service water lines, twenty-five (25) 1 ½ -inch single service waterlines, and seventy-six (76) 2-inch single service water lines, together with all necessary appurtenances, by using a trenchless installation method (directional drilling, pipe bursting, or push/pull insertion) without open-cutting the roadway or driveway. Service lines shall be classified as either “short service lines” or “long service lines”. A “short service line shall mean an existing service line connecting to the water meter that is located on the same side of the street as the water main. A “long service line” shall mean an existing service line connecting to the water meter that is located on the opposite side of the street from the water main.
