NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Avalon with its principal place of business at 410 Avalon Canyon Road, Avalon CA 90704 ("City") invites and will receive sealed bids (“Bids”) up to but not later than 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026 at the Office of the City Clerk, located at 410 Avalon Canyon Road, Avalon CA 90704 for the furnishing to City of all labor, equipment, materials, tools, services, transportation, permits, utilities, and all other items necessary for Civic Center Housing Project Phase 3A: Site Preparation (“Project”). At said time, Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after said time shall be returned unopened. Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 calendar days after the bid opening date. The City previously entered into a contract with US-Offsite (the “Modular Manufacturer”), for the design, procurement, manufacturing and make shipment ready of 39 modular units and accessory components (the “Modular Manufacturing Scope”) for the Civic Center Housing Project in the City of Avalon. The Modular Manufacturer and their design consultants have generated, in coordination with the City, Architectural, Structural and Civil Design Documents (individually and collectively called the “Modular Design Documents”). The City is now soliciting bids from qualified Contractors (“Bidders”) for the on-site civil work for the Project, including but not limited to grading, excavation, compaction, underground utilities, foundation, retaining walls, hard scape and landscape including drainage as well as demolition of select existing structures. Bids must be submitted on City’s Bid Forms. Bidders may obtain a copy of the Contract Documents from www.publicpurchase.com and www.cityofavalon.gov/rfp or at: 410 Avalon Canyon Road, Avalon, CA 90704, (310) 510-0220. To the extent required by section 20103.7 of the Public Contract Code, upon request from a contractor plan room service, City shall provide an electronic copy of the Contract Documents at no charge to the contractor plan room.
