    Description

SAWPA has used Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) since 2002. The Finance Department currently uses GP 2018.6 for financial, project accounting, sales, purchasing, HR and payroll, with integrations to Journyx for timesheets, Greenshades for HR self-service, OnBase for document management, Bi360 for reporting, and Mikorma for check printing. The environment is hosted on premise and is end-of-life with no upgrade path.SAWPA has completed a comprehensive current state assessment, conducted by Third Stage Consulting Group, which included seven on-site discovery workshops (March 18–25, 2026) and identified 250+ requirements across eight functional areas. The findings from that assessment, along with the GP Study Document prepared by Endeavour in May 2025, have informed the requirements set forth in this RFP.In addition to the core GP modules, SAWPA has a custom action called the “LAIF button.” SAWPA has 27+ funds where cash is accounted for. Each fund keeps a cash balance in the Local Agency Investment Fund (LAIF). Only Fund 100 (General Fund) has an actual checking account; all payments and deposits flow through it. The LAIF button distributes payments and deposits into or out of the correct funds.
