Bid results will be available end of business day, same date.Copies of Bidding Documents for the 300 Block Union Street CDBG Improvements are available online and at no cost via the PennBid Program at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com.NOTE: The Council of Columbia Borough have authorized C.S. Davidson, Inc., to act on their behalf by opening bids. Contracts will be awarded at a regularly scheduled meeting of Columbia Borough.A bid bond by acceptable surety or a certified check made payable to Columbia Borough in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid must be provided by each bidder with their bid.Each bidder must be prepared to submit evidence of his qualifications to perform the work.Notice is hereby given to bidders that construction of this project is being funded, in part, by a federal grant provided to Lancaster County from the U.S. Dept of Housing and Urban Development and is subject to the Davis Bacon Act of March 3, 1931, as amended. Wages must be paid by contractors according to the U.S. Department’s Wage Decision included in the specifications. All bidders must also comply with the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968; the Executive Order of 11246 or any other order which prohibits discrimination in employment.
