    Description

    The State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation (WisDOT), through their Purchasing Unit (Purchasing), intends to use the results of this procurement to obtain replacement parts utilized for the repair and servicing of Communication Towers that are located throughout the State and utilized by the Department’s State Patrol Division (SPD). WisDOT, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Wisconsin Interoperable System for Communications (WISCOM) all utilize Communication Towers to transmit and convey public safety communications throughout the state. The parts listed as a part of this procurement are utilized in the repair and maintenance for these towers. The bid will be awarded by product category. Each product category lists specific replacement parts that are relative and have historical orders from WisDOT. The product categories are as follows: microwave radio antennas and waveguide components; tower top antennas, cables (the four sections will be awarded as one category), connectors (the three sections will awarded as one category), miscellaneous site hardware, DC power system, dehydrator parts, network, OPTO alarm system parts, and grounding. WisDOT intends to award up to three bidders for each category. Bidders must have the capability and capacity to deliver orders to any location in the State of Wisconsin as specified on ATTACHMENT D as part of the bid documents.
