    Questions & Answers

Q (No subject): I am registering under our Corporation name but we operate as a DBA, we have 2 companies Stable Soils of Florida and Foundation Services of Central Florida that will be doing work out there, do I put both companies on the paperwork or just stable soils? both companies have the same EIN number but different Florida License #'s. How do I do this so it is done correctly?

A: Please use SP USS Holdings as the Legal business name and list Stable Solis of Florida and Foundation Services of Central Florida as DBA's and provide a W-9 for both DBA's.

Q (Insurance Requirements): Hi. I am trying to gather all the insurance you require from our insurance company. On 3.12 For the Builders risk policy, we have never needed that and not quite sure if we actually do need it, but that coverage would be job specific for each job (and is a huge extra cost to add), but if needed we would visit it when and if needed. How do we handle that one?

A: Builders Risk is not required with these services on this solicitation.

Q (Temporary Traffic Control): Can Temporary Traffic Control Items be added as a Bid Item? 1. Flaggers, Per Each, Per Hour 2. Lane Closure, Per Each, Per Day

A: Yes, both of those line items will be added to the bid forms. An addendum will be issued for a REVISED Proposal Form to include these Traffic Control items which will be uploaded to the attachments section.

Q (Contractors License): A Certified Underground Utility license is more applicable to subsurface grouting. Will a contractor holding a State Certified Underground Utility License for 5-years meet the minimum requirements for licensing?

A: Yes, the Underground Utility License will be accepted for the minimum requirements in lieu of a General Contractor License.

Q (General Question): 1. What firm(s) completed work under this contract in 2024-2026? 2. Does the District have an annual budget for work completed under this contract?

A: 1.) The District did not have a contract specifically for concrete and chemical grouting services from 2024 until present. ASP Underground, Earth Tech of Menard USA, Foundation Services of Central Florida, and Stable Soils of Florida are some who completed work for the District. 2.) The District budgets emergency funding for unplanned projects that would be completed under this contract, and if necessary, a budget resolution will be requested for additional funding.

Q (Previous Contract Bid Results): Does the District have any previous, detailed, itemized bid results for this or any other similar RFP's?

A: RFP #24P-038 "On-Call Services for Geological Anomalies & Stormwater Systems" has 3 bid line items for chemical grout but not for concrete grout.

Q (Page Limit): Hi, I know there is a page limit but what do we do if it goes over that? Our insurance with all the requirements, is 42 pages by itself. What do we do in that instance?

A: Excluded items that do not count towards the page count are listed on the bottom of page 17 of the solicitation. Project Documents > 6. Proposal Submittal > Proposal Preparation, Format, and Page Limitations > 2. Items Excluded from Page Count: 2. Items Excluded from Page Count The following materials will not count toward the forty (40) page limitation: • Cover letter • Table of contents • Divider tabs • Required solicitation forms provided by the District • Certifications and affidavits • Required licenses or registrations • Insurance documentation or proof of insurance • Financial statements (if requested) • Pricing proposal forms or cost sheets • Signed addenda acknowledgements These materials must still be included in the proposal as required but will not be counted toward the narrative page limit.

Q (Contract Terms): Is this for work that needs to be done currently, or is it an RFP to be the on-call contractor for said work over various places, dates and times?

A: This contract is to be used on an as needed basis throughout the term of the Agreement.
