    The City of Waterbury is seeking qualified and experienced engineering and consulting firms to provide complete Construction Engineering and Inspection services for State Project 151-338, F.A.P. 1151(124) Intersection Improvements at East Main Street and Brass Mill Drive. The City of Waterbury is performing an intersection improvement at East Main Street at Brass Mill Drive under the Local Road Accident Reduction Program. The work consists of removing and replacing a traffic signal including video detection and pre-emption with a metered electrical service, pavement reconstruction, sidewalk improvements and incidental related construction. The work is scheduled to begin in early 2026 and be completed by the end of the calendar year. The construction budget is $1,538,000 and is scheduled for 266 calendar days of construction. The city is seeking a qualified firm to provide construction engineering and inspection services. Firms should be of adequate size and sufficiently staffed to perform this assignment in accordance with Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) and city guidelines. Project record keeping will be conducted using AASHTOWare and Compass Software. Material testing laboratory services will be provided by the CTDOT. The city will shortlist and then interview up to five firms. The city will then negotiate a scope of work and price with the highest rated firm.
