    The City of Orlando ("City") is seeking Qualifications Statements from interested Consultants registered in the State of Florida to provide Professional Engineering Services pursuant to Section 471.023 of the Florida Statutes for RQS26-0500 Construction, Engineering, and Inspection Services For The Canopy Project. Respondents which are business organizations must be filed with and registered in the State of Florida to provide Engineering Services pursuant to Section 471.023 of the Florida Statutes as of the due date for submission of Qualification Statements.

The physical characteristics of a Downtown are essential to this success and no quality is more important than a walkable environment and a place where people safely and then joyously engage in the civic life of the city.

    The City of Orlando proudly announces the development of "The Canopy," a transformative urban park project set to rejuvenate 10 acres beneath the I-4 corridor in Downtown Orlando, spanning approximately five city blocks. This initiative, evolving from the concept formerly known as the Under-I Project, signifies a major leap in the city's efforts to enhance urban living spaces through innovative design and community engagement.

    • Experience and qualifications of Respondent and its subconsultants. (25 pts)
    • The experience and qualifications of the assigned personnel of Respondent and its subconsultants. (25 pts)
    • Participation of recognized VBE firms in the performance of the work. (2 pts)
    • The Respondent and subconsultants’ records of successful performances on past projects. (15 pts)

      Including factors such as cost control, work quality and demonstrated ability to adhere to schedules and budgetary requirements for such projects.

    • Ability of Respondent’s and subconsultants’ personnel to devote necessary time to the project and work successfully with City staff and any other stakeholders. (24 pts)
    • Proximity of the location of Respondent’s office, where the majority of its work will be performed on this project, to the City of Orlando. (4 pts)
    • Volume of work previously awarded to Respondent by the City. (5 pts)
    • Experience and qualifications of Respondent and its subconsultants. (25 pts)
