    Description

New York State cooperatively manages fisheries in the Delaware River through its participation in the Delaware River Fish & Wildlife Management Cooperative together with the states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware and federal partners including NOAA Fisheries and the US Fish and Wildlife Service. The goal of this study is to quantify present-day recreational fisheries of the Delaware River and selected tributaries. The last creel survey on the River was conducted in 2002. An updated understanding of recreational fishing activity is needed to better manage important diadromous species and inform changes to Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) fishery management plans (FMP). The Department intends to award this work pursuant to its discretionary purchasing authority under State Finance Law §163(6) and therefore has not issued an open solicitation for quotes. If your firm believes you can carry out this work, please send along any supporting information and the Department will consider it for this and any potential future awards. Offerors shall adhere to the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation Guidelines Regarding Permissible Contacts During a Procurement and the Prohibition of Inappropriate Lobbying Influence. All correspondence and/or questions relating to this procurement should be directed to the Department’s primary contact.
