Wayne County is soliciting quotes for a vendor to provide legally-admissible DNA testing for court ordered child paternity proceedings.
Testing shall include buccal (cheek) swab collection for child and potential parent(s) and follow all standard chain-of-custody documentation and forensic standards. Testing results will be returned to the County within 3-5 days from the request for testing. Results of rush screenings must be available within 24 hours of request.
Specimen collections will occur at locations and times agreed upon by both parties. The contractor will provide, at no additional cost, all supplies necessary for the collection, preparation, preservation and transportation of all specimens to be submitted for testing. The contractor shall make staff available for consultation via phone, during normal business hours to discuss procedures and/or explain results.
All specimens must be tested in an accredited clinical laboratory licensed under applicable federal, state and municipal law. Accreditations and licenses shall be available to the County upon request.
The contractor will provide DSS with an itemized statement of services rendered for the prior month.
A pricing table has provided to allow for a uniform response from our vendors and to allow for an electronic tabulation of the results
