    Description

    The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, labor and supervision required for Doylestown Township Traffic Signal System Upgrades as shown on the Contract Drawings and specified herein. Modifications include but are not limited to; installing Dilemma zone detection and video detection systems, as well as a LED upgrade to the Red Signal Ahead blackout signs. Supporting work includes upgrading controller timing units, battery backup systems, installing pre-emption cards, and controller. Additional safety enhancements, including the installation of Flashing Yellow Arrow (FYA) and updating clearance intervals. To support these upgrades, new controller equipment and conduits will be installed. The project also includes replacing an existing traffic signal support. The successful Contractor must comply with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination as indicated in the Contract Documents and must be PENNDOT pre-qualified. All contractors must be pre-qualified with PennDOT in accordance with section 102.01 of PennDOT Publication 408, latest edition.
