    Description

    The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Contract Management Unit, Design and Construction, on behalf of the Sunmount DDSOO, is soliciting sealed bids from responsible and qualified contractors to perform required work for Driveway Replacement - Route 30 (Sabael Road) at 6204 State Route 30 (Sabael Road), Indian Lake, NY 12842. The Project Manual and Drawings for the project may be obtained via the Documents tab for this project advertisement. Bids for this project must be received prior to the time of the Bid Opening, as detailed in the Project Manual full Advertisement for Bids. Contractors who are interested in submitting a Bid for this project should carefully examine and be familiar with the Drawings and Specifications, and the Project Manual including all Bidding, Contracting, and General Requirement Specification Documents. Site Visit: Bidders are strongly urged to attend the Site Visit(s) to be held at 9:00 AM on Monday, June 29, 2026, and 9:00 AM on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, to take field measurements and examine existing conditions of the project area. It is the responsibility of the bidder to know the site(s) requirements based upon the work being requested. 48 Hour Notice of Site Visit Attendance: OPWDD requests that contractors call 48 hours in advance to make it known that they intend to be at the scheduled pre-bid site visit(s). Phone the office of Mark Woods at (518) 359-7706 or Kyle Beaudette at (518) 359-4174 a minimum of 48 hours in advance of the date to provide the names of those who will attend the pre-bid site visit. If a contractor doesn’t call, an OPWDD designee may not be present to provide necessary access. Should a designee not be present, contractor(s) will not be permitted access by any other means. The commencement and completion of work for this project shall be per the Specifications, Section 011000 Summary of the Work. Bid Security deposit will be required in the amount specified in the full Advertisement for Bids. The Selected Low Bidder will be responsible for providing documentation of mandatory pre-award submittal requirements, including but not limited to: Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire (CCA-2), references and experience, list of proposed sub-contractors, detailed estimate, and proof of required insurances. Prevailing Wages will apply. Please be advised: Effective December 30, 2024, all contractors and subcontractors submitting bids or performing construction work on public work projects covered by Article 8 of the Labor Law are required to register with the New York State Department of Labor under Labor Law Section 220-i. If not done so already, Bidders should visit the NYS Department of Labor website link below to be sure that they meet this requirement. https://dol.ny.gov/contractor-and-subcontractor-landing Important Note to Contractors on Payment: This solicitation, if awarded, will result in a contract which does not affect the awarded contractor’s ability to receive payment for separate work for OPWDD on other contracts, purchase orders, or other minor maintenance work done for the local DDSOO(s).
