    Bids will be received online by East Coventry Township via PennBid until 11:00 AM prevailing time on Monday, May 11, 2026, for the following:ELLIS WOODS ROAD BRIDGE REHABILITATION, EAST COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, CHESTER COUNTY, PAA Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Ellis Woods Road Bridge Site.The project consists of the rehabilitation of the existing bridge, including excavation, concrete construction, riprap placement, erosion and sedimentation controls, backfill, paving, guide rail, and all other associated work listed herein and as indicated on the contract plans.All documents and details are available electronically on PennBid: https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com.Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check drawn to the order of East Coventry Township; or a Bid Bond in favor of East Coventry Township in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. Said check or bond shall be subject to the conditions in the Instructions to Bidders.The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, must be paid to workers employed on this project.All Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified as a Prime Contractor and be prequalified in the specific PennDOT Work Class Codes that constitute at least 50% of the project. The project will be constructed in conformance with PennDOT Publication 408 (latest edition) and the project’s Technical Provisions.No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days of the opening date. East Coventry Township reserves the right to reject all bids and waive any bidding informalities.
