    Description

    The City of Santa Barbara is soliciting one or more vendors to provide multiple interrelated deliverables. The Hardware will be purchased via Purchase Order(s) based on pricing provided in response to this RFP. One or more vendors may be awarded a PO to provide EVSE Hardware for the project. A single Managed Charging Service Provider will be awarded a contract for the ongoing operational services of the EVSE. Both service and materials may be provided by one or multiple vendors selected from a single proposal. The Managed Charging Services will be awarded as a 5-year agreement (with option to renew for five additional 1-year terms) “EVSE MCS agreement.” See sample EVSE MCS agreement article 3 for exact term length. The EVSE MCS agreement has several optional services such as maintenance and repair. LCFS brokerage is an optional third service which a vendor may offer but is not required for this solicitation.The City has already selected a design firm, NV5, to design the project and create permit/construction bid drawings. The winner of this RFP will be expected to work closely with the City and NV5 to deliver a seamless successful project. The City will be selecting a construction contractor through a Request for Bid (RFB) process once permit drawings are completed and approved. The Hardware/Managed Charging Services vendor/s will also be expected to coordinate with the Construction Contractor regarding EVSE installation and commissioning to provide a seamless project.Note: Bidders for this Hardware/Managed Charging Services RFP may choose to submit proposals for the Construction RFB as well, however, will not be required to do so.
