    Description

Purpose of the eRFI This electronic Request for Information (eRFI) is being issued to solicit information from interested suppliers with respect to Emergency Management Software Solutions for the University of Georgia (UGA) Office of Emergency Preparedness (hereinafter, the State Entity) as further described in this eRFI. The State Entity will use the information generated by this eRFI in conjunction with other information available to the State Entity to determine the solution that it is in the best interests of the State Entity to fulfill this need. Specifically, the State Entity is seeking information concerning software solutions that support the development, maintenance, and management of Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), Continuity of Operations Plans (COOPs), Business Continuity Plans, and virtual Emergency Operations Center (EOC). UGA's Current software system is not sufficient to support the dynamic and future needs of emergency management, insurance and claims management, campus police, and campus lab and environmental safety personnel, and departmental staff who require a more efficient method to access these plans and maintain the plans. UGA is committed to ensuring comprehensive emergency preparedness across all departments. Current processes for creating and maintaining emergency plans are decentralized and manual, creating challenges in consistency and compliance. UGA seeks a solution that aligns with FEMA guidelines, NFPA 1600 standards, and state regulations, while improving efficiency and accessibility for both first responders and end users. UGA reaches across the State of Georgia with over 800 buildings that may require an EAP and over 500 departments that may require a COOP/continuity plan. These departments can vary from information technology, medical programs, agriculture, and large-scale research. Overview of the eRFI Process The objective of the eRFI is to gather information to assist the State Entity in its consideration of available resources/methods to fulfill the need/goal identified above.
