However, Proposers may not take advantageof omissions or oversights in this document. Proposers must supply products and services that meetor exceed the requirements of this RFP. In the event of a dispute over installation or performance, theneeds of the City of Torrance will govern.The City of Torrance Public Works Department is proposing to replace existing cast iron water mainswith ductile iron water mains and increase the existing size of the new pipelines to meet currentdemands on Crenshaw Boulevard between 190th Street, and Del Amo Boulevard and Del AmoBoulevard between Crenshaw Boulevard and Western Avenue. The project consists of the installationof approximately 11,000 LF of new water mains, valves, fire hydrants, service lines, meters and theabandonment of the existing mains.
