    Description

The Long Beach Unified School District (District) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors (Bidder), to provide Staffing Support Services specific to Instructional Aides, for Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) funded sites. The intent of this RFP process is to select a Bidder or Bidders and establish a two (2) year base contract with an option to extend up to three (3) additional one-year periods based on satisfactory service/performance. Pre-Bid Meeting Information: Yes Online Q&A: Yes Location Information: Department: Purchasing & Contracts Branch Address: 2201 E. Market StreetLong Beach, California90805 County: Los Angeles Other Details: Due to persistent staffing shortages in expanded learning settings, especially in early grades, LBUSD aims to partner with vendors who can reliably recruit, train, and retain qualified Instructional Aides. LBUSD is seeking qualified and experienced firms to provide Elementary Instructional Aides, especially in hard-to-staff grades like Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten, to support a full ELO-P day. Staffing needs will vary by site and classroom. Some classrooms may require one (1) Aide, while others may require two (2) Aides. Some aides will rotate across several classrooms throughout the work shift, based on student enrollment, required ratios, classroom configuration, and student needs, as determined by the District. The District anticipates a need for approximately 75 Instructional Aides to serve all elementary campuses during the 2026–2027 school year. This estimate is subject to change based on the District’s needs. The District reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of Instructional Aides prior to contract execution and at the conclusion of each school year.
