Fort Bend County Emergency Services District No. 4 Fulshear Fire Station

Fort Bend County Emergency Services District No. 4 is set to construct a new two story 11,400 SF fire station located in Downtown Fulshear, Texas at the intersection of 5^th and Wallis Street.  The building is comprised of (2) apparatus bays on ground level, split by a watch office, gear room, and workout space in the center axis.  Flanking the apparatus bay are a series of service spaces including workshop, MEP spaces, as well as egress stairs on either end.  On the second floor, there are 3 main personnel spaces including the dining area, kitchen, and tiered day room.  At the rear of the second level are sleeping quarters for a crew of 8, office, and restroom/shower facilities (4). There are also dedicated laundry and IT spaces.  Additional unique elements include a working fire pole between the day room and gear locker facility.  The exterior of the station is a full masonry clad building with punched openings, and cast stone detailing.  The site is enclosed to the north of the station entry by a decorative metal fence with brick pilasters.  There is public parking in the front of the station along the apparatus bay entry into the site off of 5^th street.  There are dedicated personnel parking in the rear with covered parking for key personnel, as well as an enclosed mechanical yard adjacent to the station.
