    Scope of Work – Playground Turf Installation (Infant/Toddler Area)Site Location: 9950 Fremont Ave, Montclair CA 917631. General Requirements• Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, hauling, disposal, and incidentals required for a complete and safe installation.• All measurements shown or referenced are estimates only.o Contractor is responsible for performing their own site verification, measurements, elevations, and due diligence.o No additional plans, photos, drawings, or documentation will be provided beyond this Scope of Work.• Contractor shall obtain and pay for all required permits, inspections, and approvals as required by local jurisdiction.Estimated AreaThe highlighted playground zone shown in the Google Earth image measures:• Estimated Area: ~1,576 sq ft• Estimated Perimeter: 159 ft• Source Measurement: Google Earth polygon tool (146.38 m²)All measurements are estimates only. Contractor must perform their own field verification and is fully responsible for confirming all dimensions, elevations, and site conditions.2. Site Preparation• Walk the entire outlined area and identify all trip hazards, depressions, uneven surfaces, and drainage issues.• Remove existing surface materials as needed (grass, soil, debris, roots, rocks, etc.).• Excavate and regrade the area to create a uniform, level, and safe play surface appropriate for infants and toddlers.• Ensure the subgrade is compacted to a stable condition with no soft spots or voids.3. Base Installation• Install a compacted aggregate base (e.g., Class II road base or equivalent) to achieve proper leveling and drainage.• Grade the base to eliminate dips, humps, or transitions that could create tripping hazards.• Compact base to manufacturer recommended density.4. Safety Underlayment• Install a playground rated shock pad underlayment suitable for infant/toddler fall zones and compliant with applicable ASTM standards.• Ensure underlayment is installed flush and without gaps, folds, or uneven seams.5. Turf Installation• Furnish and install playground grade synthetic turf designed for early childhood play environments.• Roll out turf, align grain, and trim edges to fit the outlined area.• Seam turf sections using manufacturer approved methods and adhesives.• Secure turf perimeter to prevent lifting, curling, or displacement.6. Infill & Grooming• Apply manufacturer approved infill (if required) to achieve proper cushioning, stability, and performance.• Groom turf to ensure even distribution and a uniform finished appearance.7. Final Cleanup & Turnover• Remove all construction debris, excess materials, and waste from the site.• Perform a final walkthrough with MAOF representative to confirm:o Surface is level and free of trip hazardso Turf is secure and properly installedo Area is safe for infant/toddler use• Provide manufacturer warranties and maintenance recommendations.8.
