    The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, MD (the "WSSC"), is soliciting sealed responses for Furnish and Deliver Mueller Fire Hydrant Parts and Accessories. Responses are to be submitted via WSSC's eProcurement Portal via https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/wsscwater PRIOR TO 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 18, 2026. Late responses will not be accepted.

    WSSC seeks a Contractor to furnish and deliver Mueller Fire Hydrant Parts and Accessories on an as-needed basis. All fire hydrant parts and accessories must meet the American Water Works Association (AWWA) C502 standards to ensure uniformity and reliability for operation, repair, and maintenance.

    WSSC provides water supply and wastewater services to residents and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties. WSSC service area spans nearly 1,000 square miles and has 46,211 fire hydrants in service and 7.8 hydrants per mile. The Mueller Fire Hydrant, parts and accessories are used in the maintenance, rehabilitation, and operation of WSSC Fire Hydrants within the water infrastructure to ensure adequate control of water flow, connections to water mains, and general operational functionality.

      The Bidder must meet and provide proof of the following minimum qualifications in order to be considered for award.

       

    • Is your firm a manufacturer or authorized distributor for Mueller Fire Hydrant Parts and Accessories? (required)
    • If yes, attach a letter as proof that your company is a manufacturer, or if a distributor, attach a letter from the manufacturer that your company is an authorized distributor. (required)
