    Description

    REQUEST FOR QUOTES DESCRIPTION: This project consists of providing P.E. stamped design drawings (electronic, CAD files and printed) for a propane fueled stand-by whole house generator. The design shall include an OEM cold weather kit, such as a block and battery heater, along with a service rated automatic transfer switch. This project shall also include preconstruction estimates of the equipment and installation. The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work. Work is to be completed within 60 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project, and prevailing wages are to be paid. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Visit site and provide analysis of existing full load of home as per Article 220.87 of the NEC to determine adequate sizing of generator and associated services. 2. Spec Generac generator and transfer switch as per above load analysis. 3. Utilizing the provided .pdf property survey, propose location of 500-gallon propane tank, tank pad, generator, and generator equipment pad. Proposed location should balance serviceability of equipment, property aesthetics, and economical installation. Location subject to approval by OPWDD prior to beginning design work. 4. Design work must include tracer line and burial tape for any underground gas and power lines, a service outlet at the generator, and an OEM cold weather start kit. 5. The design shall be done in accordance with current version of the National Electric Code (NEC), NYS Residential Code, and must conform with any local setback 6. requirements and/or other ordinances. 7. The design must include a one-line electrical diagram and all required gas and conduit piping. Design shall spec appropriately sized electrical lines, associated piping and conduit. 8. Document Submissions to be provided to OPWDD Point of Contact (POC) at routine Intervals and is subject to review and approval by OPWDD engineers. a. 90% Completion b. 100% Completion (Issued for Permitting- signed and stamped) 9. Internal Construction Permitting to be completed by OPWDD. Design Vendor shall provide (2) sets of 24” x36” blueprints upon completion, mailed to POC. 10. A Probable Construction Cost Estimate using Master Specifications shall be provided along with the 100% drawings, based on current pricing, materials, supplies, and prevailing wage table for the appropriate county. Estimate to be completed on OPWDD provided form. (PRE-BID TEMPLATE CAN BE EMAILED UPON REQUEST) 11. Design Proposal shall include a time schedule for the Design Services based on current workload within the Design Firm. 12. Generalized Statements required by OPWDD POC for protection of Service Recipients and Operations, on a case-by-case basis.
