A: Contractors will have the opportunity to review the acreage and amount of service needed at the pre-bid, and are encouraged to visit the area on their own as well. For prior solicitation bid tab information, please see Addendum # 1.

A: - There has been no changes in the scope of work - The current incumbent is currently completing their terms - Current start date would be Oct. 1, 2026
Q (Budget): Is there a set budget for this solicitation?
A: There is no current set budget for this specific area. We will be reviewing and analyzing our budget based on the bids we receive. The current service is around $20,000 per year.
Q (Projected start): Is there a projected award and start date?
A: Current start date would be Oct. 1, 2026
Q (Schedule): Hello one question that we forgot to ask. How often are they wanting the services done? Is it twice a week three times a week? What exactly are they looking for?
A: The frequency will be once per week.

A: Addendum #3, just released, is the map of the service area. I apologize for the error and any confusion caused.
Q (Site visit): We were unable to attend the site visit. Is there any way we can get another one on the calendar?
A: The prebid was a mandatory portion of the process. We are not able to meet your request.
Q (Signed or acknowledge addendums): Hi, During the walkthrough you mentioned that all addendums should be signed or acknowledged. How would be able to be done? Is it a printout or with there ben an "acknowledge" button to do so. Just needing clarification on how to acknowledge them and which ones. Such as the Map layout, etc.
A: Please see Bid Cover page. There is a section to acknowledge addenda.
Q (Turf Fertilization ): What is the expectation on sq ft area for turf fertilization? The information given is 3 times with nothing about turf weed control, just follow ordinances. Just want everyone to bid whatever your real expectations are for the project.
A: The only expectation would be for the turf that is mowed by the contractor. Weed control in the turf area is not required.
Q (Mulch): Was the mulch refresh once a year included in the previous scope of work?
A: Yes it was. Mulching: All landscaped beds will be mulched on an annual basis in March or April to maintain a mulch depth of no less than two (2) inches and no more than three (3) inches. If mulch exceeds the required depth it is the contractor's responsibility to remove the old material before adding new mulch. ALL BEDS MUST BE FRESHENED EACH YEAR. It must be clean and free of sticks and trash. The mulch material to be used on this project will be provided by the City of Gainesville.
Q (Attachments for Bid Submittal): Would it be acceptable to include premade reference forms and resources forms instead of manually filling out the provided forms?
A: As long as the forms comply with the requested information on the bid-issued forms, then yes. Alternative forms may NOT be used for pricing.
Q (Fertlization): Just clarifying a previous question. The turf area mowed would need to be fertilized 3x, but no weed control?
A: Yes this is correct, we only require weed control inside the planter beds not the turf at Northside Park.
