PROJECT ESTIMATE: $5,400,000.00 CONTRACT TYPE: This is a UNIT PRICE contract, and includes Bid Alternate(s) 1 and 2 PROJECT SUMMARY: This Project includes new DBE and Workforce Goals (reference Sections SLR 19 and SLR 20), the requirements of the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (Supplemental Documents) and consists of improvements to Group 5A Lead Service Line Replacement Project on various streets. The scope of the work includes the replacement of existing lead, lead-lined, and galvanized water services with new polyethylene or copper water service lines, inclusive of the water main tap, service saddle (if required), service tubing, curb stop and box, and connection to the customer’s inside service line. If both inside and outside service lines are found to be composed of lead, lead-lined, or galvanized materials, the service line shall be replaced from the water main to the meter. A full-service line flush from the water main to the meter is required following the service installation. The work includes surface restoration of disturbed areas. The Project includes a Base Bid and two Add Alternates.
