Bidder must demonstrate to the MDC that bidder is qualified and competent to perform the Work. The HRF is located at the MDC’s HWPCF, 240 Brainard Road, Hartford, Connecticut. The HRF generates electricity by recovering waste heat from three (3) multiple-hearth sludge incinerators. Steam is produced by two waste heat boilers manufactured by Alstom and is supplied to a 2.0 MW turbine-generator system, consisting of a turbine manufactured by Dresser-Rand and a generator manufactured by Hyundai. The electricity generated is utilized on-site at the HWPCF.
