    Description

    This solicitation will be issued through BidNet's Maryland Purchasing Group (https://www.bidnetdirect.com/maryland/montgomerycounty). In the spirit of continuous improvement, Montgomery County utilizes this platform to post solicitations and accept electronic responses from vendors. Registration is required and FREE for all Montgomery County solicitations by selecting the "Limited" option upon registration. This Invitation for Bids for Tree Maintenance and Removal Services is to establish a price agreement contract for various tree maintenance operations and/or removal of trees located on the publicly maintained rights-of-way within the political boundaries of Montgomery County, Maryland. Work to be performed under the terms of this contract includes but is not limited to the removal of dead, dying or diseased trees; the correction of structural defects, crown cleaning, crown raising, crown thinning, and restoration pruning. All pruning, trimming, tree removal, and disposal of waste from tree work performed under this contract must be accomplished in strict compliance with all pertinent County, State, and Federal regulations; and all pertinent American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards. To improve operational efficiency, the contractor may dispose of an agreed upon quantity of wood waste at approved county depots or other facilities at the discretion of the Contract Administrator. This permission is not guaranteed and may be revoked at any time without prior notice. The Contractor will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining all necessary permits, licenses, etc. and conforming to all regulatory agency requirements. The Contractor will be using the County’s Roadside Tree Blanket Permit when performing work under the contract.
