Insurance Agent of Record

The city of Beaverton is seeking sealed proposals from qualified insurance agents to provide professional services to the city in the administration of its Risk Management Program for up to the next six years. The scope of services includes the agent’s procurement of casualty insurance, property insurance and excess workers’ compensation insurance on behalf of the city, but excludes the purchase of health or dental insurance. Insurance Agents are invited to submit a proposal outlining their experience and qualifications in performing work directly related to the services required.

Background

The Agent of Record is expected to serve as the city’s representative in the insurance marketplace in the procurement of casualty insurance, property insurance and excess workers’ compensation insurance. The scope of services excludes the purchase of workers’ compensation insurance (the city self-insures for workers’ compensation purposes but purchases excess workers’ compensation insurance) or health and dental insurance.
